Another great meeting of New Age businesses – INATS 2017

I recently returned to our Vermont office from Denver, Colorado, where I was representing Inner Traditions * Bear & Company at the 2017 International New Age Trade Show. The show is a feast for the senses – the sounds: laughter, music, chimes, tuning forks, and even digeridoo; the sights: crystals large and small, lights, jewelry, colorful clothes, tarot cards, and giant book cover posters; and, of course, the smells: incense, candles, and essential oils all blending together to produce the unique scent of INATS.

We hosted some amazing authors at the show, whom I’m happy to call friends. Sound healers Jonathan Goldman and Andi Goldman were there signing and promoting their new book, The Humming Effect. The Goldmans are true celebrities at INATS – we heardwhispers in the aisles that they had arrived at the show a full 10 minutes before they arrived at our booth. They signed copies of their book at our booth and also presented a group humming exercise at the Author Breakfast on Sunday (alongside wonderful Schiffer author, Melinda Carver). As the Goldmans say, “The simplest sound is the most profound!”

The other author we hosted at our booth was rising gemstone rockstar Nicholas Pearson, who signed copies of his second book, Crystals for Karmic Healing, at the INATS Buyers Lounge on Saturday and at the Inner Traditions booth on Sunday. We were excited to note that manyshop owners who stopped by for signed copies of the new book recognized Nicholas’ first book, The Seven Archetypal Stones, saying “I already have that one in my store!” They were also excited to learn about his forthcoming third book, Crystal Healing for the Heart (due out in September 2017).

Other forthcoming titles people were buzzing about: White Spirit Animals by Zohara Hieronimus, Crystal Wands by Ewald Kliegel, Essential Oils in Spiritual Practice by Candice Covington, and The Ancient Path of Dreaming by Stephen Larsen and Tom Verner. Besides The Humming Effect and Crystals for Karmic Healing, the most talked about new releases were The Accidental Shaman by Howard Charing, Fasting the Mind by Jason Gregory, Sekhmet by Nicki Scully, The Tablets of Light by Danielle Hoffman, The Complete King Arthur by John and Caitlin Matthews, Love Has Seven Colors by Jack Angelo, and Sacred Geometry Coloring Book by Francene Hart.
